Location
Cruachan holiday cottage is situated on the outskirts of New Galloway, Dumfries and Galloway at the north end of Loch Ken and approx 16 miles north of Castle Douglas.
New Galloway nestles to the eastern side of the Galloway Forest Park, Britain’s largest forest park at three hundred square miles providing a multitude of activities and idyllic scenery.
The popular towns of Dumfries and Ayr are approx 40 minutes drive with Castle Douglas (The Food Town), Kirkcudbright (Artists Town) and Wigtown (The Book Town) all within easy reach.
Cruachan is also within 40 minutes drive of the coast with picturesque harbour villages and sandy beaches to explore.
